This terrible illness is very close to our heart's and know how not only the person themselves suffer but those close to them. We will be doing this for Bill, Martha, one of my best friends family and my sister in Law Leanne's family.

Many people will know sadly my mum passed away suddenly nearly 3 years ago and left her husband Bill who sadly is suffering from Dementia on his own. We struggled for the nearly two year trying to get him settled and comfortable, get help for his illness, deal with endless carers who starved, neglected, even at one point telephoned and told me us had passed away (they had the wrong person!) the list is endless and most people would be shocked and disgusted. He is now thankfully settled in a care home which he hates haha typical Bill but unfortunately he is no longer able to live on his own. Whilst this was all going on Bill was so confused and knew that he had an illness but didn't fully understand what was happening to him, he has progressed back many years now and slowly losing his ability to do certain things but underneath it all its still the same person, who has the same stories and the same love to give, he just forgets sometimes.

On this journey I also discovered my friend Kerry's mum was also suffering from this illness and Kerry helped me massively with advice and support and listened to me when I didn't know which way to turn ... believe us its like a mind field out there and you just don't know where to begin! Martha is my little snap chat queen and each week will update everyone with her photo's and great snapchats. She makes everyone smile each week.

Sadly our sister in law Leanne has also had to deal with this terrible illness and see the suffering it brings and sadly now we have found out one of my best friends has just discovered one of their immediate family has been diagnosed and is waiting to find out what the future will bring ... sending you loads of love you know who you are xx

So that's our story ... the walk will talk place 8th September in Brighton starting at 10am and hoping to raise as much as we can. The walk is 6km :-)

To encourage people to sponsor me I am willing to do a deal with everyone! If we achieve our target I will do the indoor sky diving that I REALLY REALLY DON'T WANT TO DO haha!! I don't have any interest in doing it, never been had a desire to don a bright boiler suit, goggles and throw myself at the mercy of a huge fan, I am the most un-skydivable person you'll EVER meet and all that know me know its true, I don't have co-ordination to sky dive, have I mentioned I really don't want to do it ... Photos will be provided as proof I took part, I am sure if you ask Warren nicely he will also provide a video of me screaming upside down :-)

If even just half of our facebook friends sponsor us £5 each then that would amount to £2,500 which will help hugely against the fight against this horrible illness (thinking that maybe our target is a little low and the skydiving may be far too achievable!)

Thanks for taking a look and also huge thanks if you sponsor us ... huge thanks from my little beautiful snapchat queen also

    Warren and Anne Marie xxx

Thanks for stopping by and all the best for 2018

So back on the fundraising as before we know it September will be here. The past few months have been a struggle as Bill had a really bad fall and broke his Femur, had to have a hip operation, sadly his dementia has progressed worse and he's had to move care homes (not been easy) Sadly though its with a broken heart I have to share that our little snap chat queen is now with the Angels and one of the brightest stars in the sky. Snap Chat queen will be in the forefront of my mind with every step I take :-)

We have decided this year to try to do something positive and give something back to charity and have decided to take part in a Dementia walk in September. Obviously I couldn't do it without my partner in crime so Warren has decided to do it with me as well :-)
