I've raised £900 to help Dundee Stroke Exercise Club. All funds raised will go towards purchasing Saebo Virtual Reality Upper limb exercise equipment.

On 7th June 2023 my mum suffered from a stroke. Despite not meeting any of the risk factors associated with a stroke, this still happened to her and unfortunately it is estimated that around 15,000 people have a stroke in Scotland each year.
Anyone who knows my mum will know how fit and healthy she is and how much she loves walking. In fact, I think everyone, at some point has bumped into my mum and dad stomping around Dundee!
My mum and dad were due to take part in the kilt walk together which is something they had previously done and loved. Unfortunately due to her condition my mum will not be able to do this. Although, she is absolutely determined that she will walk the last bit of it, depending on how her recovery goes.
My mums positive mindset and determination to recover from this has been incredible and I couldn’t be any prouder of her if I tried. That’s why as a group, we have decided that we will walk the kilt walk for her while raising as much funds as possible for Dundee Stroke Exercise Club.
This club offers rehabilitation to all ages and abilities and helps people regain their confidence and fitness to help them on the road to recovery after suffering from a stroke. This is a club my mum attends and already in a short space of time she can already see the impact it has on the individuals that attend. The club have informed me that any funds raised will be put towards purchasing Saebo Virtual Reality Upper limb exercise equipment to help people in their recovery.
Any donation is much appreciated and I know how much it will mean to my mum and Dundee stroke exercise club.
Thank you!
