I've raised £5000 to help with costs for dad's long awaited operation to remove his prostate & repair damage to tissue through cancer treatment

My dad was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer just over 2 years ago, to which he received Brachytherapy treatment that was thankfully successful, but at a cost....
In April this year, dad began to have complications in his bladder/prostate area to which he couldn't control his bowel movements, and became incontinent. This all came down to the Brachytherapy, in a very rare case, dad's tissue around the bladder and prostate became damaged and caused a hole which is why all the bladder issues began. Dad then had a procedure to put in a catheter, to which he had to keep in perminantly (until the issue gets solved, this long awaited for operation ), which again came at a cost....
Since Dad has had the catheter, its had to be replaced several times and under General anaesthetic because the procedure is complicated and the catheter needs to be correctly placed for it to work due to the hole damage. Because dad has a catheter, he has suffered countless urinary infections which causes dad to be in pain constantly, which is heartbreaking to see. One recent infection, which, not down to the urinary problem, but a nasty infection in the bone actually made dad bed ridden for days and ended in a hospital stay.
So dad has a date for his prostate removal and tissue damage repair operation for the 3rd December 2018,... because the operation has to go private (only 1 surgeon in the UK who can perform this operation privately) dad has to find around £6000, (operation cost) which will take place in London. The Insurers pay toward it, but not a lot. It's heartbreaking to try and find so much money for treatment that my dad desperately needs to get a good quality of life again. My dad, 61, has been literally housebound for weeks in worry that the catheter will leak, which has been known to be unreliable and prone to blockages which dad needs to go to hospital for it to be unblocked. It breaks my heart to see my dad so fragile. Please, if you can help, we would be eternally greatful xx
