    Story

On 26 April 2020, we lost the wonderful, kind, caring and funny Annette Burgess. Annette was much loved by all who knew her and always gave her best, whether supporting her family & friends, volunteering or running. She fought bravely against the Coronavirus and in her final 4 weeks, was cared for by the incredible Intensive Care Unit staff at the James Paget Hospital.

We cannot thank the staff enough for their care, dedication and support, not just to Annette, but to all those being cared for at the James Paget Hospital and their families. The staff are incredibly compassionate, hardworking and brave at this very difficult time for the NHS.

The purpose of this fundraiser is to give something back to the ICU staff to help them as they continue to care for others in the future. The money will be given to the ICU to determine the best way to support the unit.

      Update from the Page owner

Thank you to everyone who has helped us pass another milestone of £3,500! This is an incredible amount which we hope will really help the wonderful staff at the James Paget ICU. Recently this page was shared online by the Pakefield Singers (along with a fantastic video which brought a smile to my day!). Thank you to the Pakefield Singers for their donations and for raising awareness of this page. It means a lot to me and my family.
