As you may know, I have been working extra hard since January 2017 to lose weight and to get fitter. During this time, I have lost 3 stone in weight and I have done this by jogging, walking up the Wrekin and dieting. I have been doing Telford's Park Run (5k) on Saturday mornings since January 2017 and by doing this, jogging has become one of my favourite hobbies. As I have now gained more confidence whilst jogging, I have entered my first 10K race! I will be completing the Manchester 10K race on the 20th May 2018 and after not being able to jog for more than 20 seconds at a time, I take great pleasure in entering this race to raise money for the Lingen Davies Cancer Fund at the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital. The Lingen Davies Centre helps treat 1000's of people throughout Telford, Shropshire and Mid Wales and I feel they deserve every bit of help they can get. The Lingen Davies Centre has personally helped members of my family and friends and I feel the need to give something back.

I would gratefully appreciate any donations however big or small to reach my target of £250 and I will be donating the money to the Lingen Davies Centre once I have completed the race.
