Story
Hi! We are Annie, Esther and Gina and we are course representatives at Bangor University. This year, we have decided to create an event at the university in order to bring fellow students together, whilst raising money for a great cause: mental health.
Mental Health is an issue that impacts everybody at some point in their lives, whether it be someone you know suffering from a mental health disorder or suffering from one yourself. One in four people in the world will be affected by mental health disorders at some point in their lives. Suicide being the most common cause of death for men aged 20-49 years in England and Wales.
Having someone there and having services available to you can be crucial in saving someones life and/or giving them the support they need.
For these reasons we have chosen to raise money for MIND. MIND is an amazing charity, helping people of all ages to combat mental illness and giving individuals support. Whether it be helping with bereavement, anxiety, depression or to escape abuse, MIND offers support services for it all.
So please donate and help us to raise money today, to help give someone else the chance they may need to save their own life.
Because we all need someone fighting in our corner.
