Speakup is a lively and unique organisation run by and for people with learning disabilities and/or autism, some of whom have enduring mental health issues. We work in a circle of support together with teaching experts, and media engineers (our inclusion workers who create accessible videos) to support people with learning disabilities and/or autism . Some of us are in mutual caring situations, parents with learning disabilities and family carers too.

We place vital importance on educating and skilling vulnerable people in the skills they need to live valued lives and become positive leaders and citizens within their communities, supporting the needs of people through person centred approaches.

We support people in crisis to become resilient and lead lives of quality, with confidence and self-belief. Our inclusion workers support groups of individuals through friendship circles, problem solving through solutions using media and film, and enabling vulnerable people to feel less discriminated against, less socially isolated and more included in their community.
