Help Annie Find Safety and Stability

I’m reaching out to ask for urgent support for my friend Annie, who is currently homeless and in an incredibly vulnerable situation.

You may know Annie—she has been part of many creative and support programmes in Liverpool. I met her through Movema when we danced at the Slavery Remembrance Day event with Katumba. She is a gifted and creative person who has also been involved with Writing on the Wall, using art and storytelling as a way to navigate the challenges she faces.

Right now, Annie is in crisis. She has been homeless for some time while waiting to hear from the embassy about her status. Recently, she was attacked by a group of six men and left with serious injuries. She spent nearly a month recovering in the hospital. Since being discharged two weeks ago, she has had nowhere stable to stay.

A kind person paid for a hotel for her to rest for two weeks, but that support has now ended. She is back on the streets, exhausted and afraid. A safe place to stay for a month costs £400.

I am asking for donations to help cover this cost and give Annie the rest and stability she desperately needs. Any additional funds raised will go towards food, travel, and support while she waits for news about her future.

How You Can Help:

• Donate whatever you can—every little bit helps.

• Share this fundraiser widely to reach more people.

• If you know of organisations or individuals who could help with accommodation or legal advice, please get in touch.

No one should have to endure what Annie has been through. Let’s come together as a community to give her some safety and hope.

Thank you so much for your kindness and support.
