Just to let you know im closing the page down today. I would like to thank everyone for all your kinds comments and of course your generosity to this page. On Thursday 28 sept we laid to rest michael it was a sad day but also one filled with loving memories as people recounted stories of mick. A very well deserved turnout was given and im sure mick would be proud of us all not least his final class as they lead the guard of honour. We raised a fantastic amount £2577 after fees to help the family, so again thank you all so very much.

Today we laid to rest our dear friend and colleague, michael. I was honoured to be there in our final farewell to such a well respected and loved man. The sea of hi-viz jackets and green was a testimonial to the high regard we all held for mickey. Staff old and new paid their respects and there was a lot of tissues and hugs handed out. I know i can speak on behalf of us all in once again sending our love and sympathy to all the family. Please if you pray keep them all in your thoughts over the next while to give them strength.Thanks to you all.

Michaels body is being repatriated on Tuesday evening. It is hoped he'll be home by 10pm. Funeral at 10am Thursday 28th at mater dei church CRUMLIN. To leave home for final time 57 laurelvale at 09.15 . Everyone who knew him are still in shock . Its been a tough few days not least for angela and all the hughes and bradford families.
