Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered nonprofit.
The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.
I am currently in training to complete the Manchester Marathon on 2nd April 2017. I am running it to raise funds for my sons football team to help raise money for a defibrillator machine to keep in the kit bag. After completing a FA run first aid course and getting an insight into the impact of having a defibrillator to hand and the lives it could save.
It was alarming to see the difference of having one to hand could do and more importantly the importance of having one at all games. Not only would this help my son football team but every other team that we play against or are playing/training at the same time as us in the same area.
•There are approximately 30,000 Out of Hospital Cardiac Arrests per year in the UK
•If a defibrillator is used and effective CPR is performed within 3-5 minutes of cardiac arrest, survival chances increase from 6% to 74%
•When someone has a cardiac arrest, every minute without CPR and defibrillation reduces their chances of survival by 7-10%
•The emergency services average response time to a cardiac event related incident in an urban area has increased from 8 to 11 minutes
•Without immediate treatment, 90-95 percent of Sudden Cardiac Arrest victims will die
Anything you could donate would be greatly appreciated in helping a local team to provide life saving equipment for the kids.

I would like to thank everyone for there support and sponsorship. I completed the Marathon in 3.43 which am a little disappointed with but on the whole got to be pleased. I have ran and trained injured for this over the passed 15 months and 4 weeks ago was really bad and couldn't run as much as I needed or would of liked. I was advised no to run but I couldn't back down. The good thing is I found out that am suffering with Piriformis Syndrome which is now getting sorted out and hopefully be injury free to go back and get the time I was after.
