Story
Our project aims to "Level the Playing Field" by removing the barriers that prevent disabled children, young people, and adults from participating in football and community life.
Antrim Newtownabbey Disability FC provides inclusive football opportunities for players of all abilities in a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment. We believe that everyone should have the same opportunity to play, develop skills, build confidence, and be part of a team regardless of disability, background, or financial circumstances.
Funding will help reduce the impact of financial hardship by keeping participation affordable, providing essential equipment, supporting travel to training and competitions, and creating more opportunities for players to compete against teams from across Northern Ireland and beyond. It will also enable us to expand our coaching provision, ensuring every player receives the support they need to reach their full potential.
Beyond football, our club promotes social inclusion, mental wellbeing, friendships, independence, and community engagement. By giving disabled people equal access to sport and the opportunities that come with it, our project helps create a fairer and more inclusive community where ability—not disability—is what matters.
