I've raised £300 to help buy an urn for elderly neighbour who recently lost her beloved husband who spent his last year’s in a care home.

Having moved into my village 18 months ago I met many of my neighbours, including Sue. Sue is an older Lady who lives alone on the end of our row of houses as her darling husband had been in a care home for some time with dementia. Sue keeps herself to herself but works at a local charity shop (voluntarily) as she is elderly and has health concerns of her own. Sue is friendly and kind and doesnt complain at all. She simply gets up and walks for miles some days to get to work (she doesn‘t drive and buses are a cost she struggles with sometimes due to very low income). Having just spoken to her today as to how she is coping with the recent loss of her husband, who sadly passed away a few months ago, she explained that she has just received the ashes of her late husband in a plastic wallet, as unfortunately the funeral had cost a lot of money and an urn was simply something they would have to now save for with them costing around £300. Please any contributions so the memories of this dear beloved husband can be cherished by his loving wife are so gratefully received. I would love to be in a position to simply gift the urn myself but unfortunately its out of my grasp also. I would love Sue to feel that people do care and there is a loving community of people around who care about what she is going through.
