I've raised £500 to pay the annual salary of a teacher working in the Abuko Lower Basic School and Nursery in The Gambia and provide supplies for the school

Organised by Anya Adam
In November, I will travel with other students from my college, to The Gambia to volunteer in the Abuko Lower Basic School. Teachers at this school are paid about £360 per year. Over the next 6 months, I plan to complete a series of challenges including a climb to the 3,200m summit of 'Poon Hill' in Nepal, a climb to the summit of Mount Snowdon and a distance run.
The money I raise will pay the teacher's salary at the school for the year, help to buy some supplies for the school and, contribute to the installation of a running water supply.
I would be very grateful if you would consider supporting me in this venture to make a lasting difference to many children's lives at Abuko School.
