With most of the mountain covered in black cloud and advice from experienced walkers to turn back we decided to leave the 3rd peak to another day. Tough challenge but we will complete when the weather is kinder. Thank you. Anya, Emma, Edward and friends.

Thanks to all your support for our 3 peaks challenge. The weather forecast was light rain so we weren't too worried. Was that wrong! First storm during the hands and knee scramble up pen y Ghent set the tone for the day, lunch in a cow shed, then thunder and lightning with horizontal hail stones atop Whernside. Despite all this and nearly 11 hours of walking we set off to climb the last peak Inglebrough when another storm rolled in!
