I've raised £6000 to help fund distribution of a practical handbook for those living with cancer, and, for those living with someone living with cancer.

This is the story of one person’s battle to survive trauma, and create, amid the chaos, a new totally different, normality after being diagnosed with cancer. It is a very personal story of a wife and mother’s battle with cancer.
It is also a story of incredible kindness, outstanding patience, and amazing support – both practical and psychological. Through shock, intense fear, and pain, Carolyn discovered incredible kindness, outstanding patience, and the exceptional medical expertise and dedication of a variety of NHS professionals.
Drawn from Carolyn’s journal – part memoir, part guide – she shares the knowledge and experience she gained, and tips she wished someone had shared with her. It is a practical handbook for both living with cancer and becoming stronger than before.
A Macmillan healthcare profession's review of the book is:
“This written journey is a true reflection of living and dealing with a cancer diagnosis; and is truly inspiring to read. It is a real-life account of what to expect, and tips on how to cope will help many people understand how to support people with cancer, and those who are experiencing their own cancer journey. Highly recommended."
The Macmillan healthcare professional then asked for copies for those patients at her oncology treatment unit.
That is why a Just Giving page has been setup and we are seeking to raise funds.
