I've raised £3000 to open a community, not-for-profit shop, to continue to bring FREE books to children.

Please, watch my video A Penny, A Page
WHY? : I have always been a book lover and have had the privilege of having books in my life. As literacy rates plummet to an all time low, it has never been more important, than to spread the joy of books, one book at a time.
SO FAR: The wonderful people of The Book Club, Beeston and the fabulous and supportive people of Beeston and surrounding areas, have helped me give away 600 gift-wrapped books to children, so far.
We gave away these books, one day a week from a not-for-profit, market stall. Can you imagine, with your help, what we could do from a shop? A shop open, 7 days a week, initially leading up until Christmas. Bringing books and gifts, to all you book lovers and continuing to give, children's books for FREE.
HELP PLEASE: Books bring so many people such joy, pleasure and escapism. As a reading community, I hope we can come together, to fund a not-for-profit, community shop for Christmas, selling new, heavily discounted books, pre-loved books: £1 for paperbacks, £2.00 for hardbacks and book lover's gifts enabling us to continue giving FREE books away to children, now and into next year and for years to come.
HOW: Grab the nearest thing that you are reading, book, paper, magazine, anything. Look at how many pages it has and please click donate below and donate A Penny, A Page.
Your donations are so very gratefully received by me and the wider community and especially the children, who will have the enjoyment of their new books. Together, we can do this.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, I will withdraw funds directly. It's the most efficient way to donate and saves time and costs.
