Story
I ran the Mersey 10k on Sunday 14th April to raise money for the Aphasia Institute, an organisation that has been helping my friend's dad since he suffered a stroke over 10 years ago.
This is how Aron describes the Aphasia Institute and what it means to so many people's lives:
'Ever since my dad got out if hospital/rehab, this place was one of the first ports of call to help him and continues to help him, my mum and so many others to be hopefully better able to live with Aphasia
They offer understanding, support and many programs that help people like my dad to learn new ways to communicate and to be part of the community
They also help people like my mum, the partners and families of this afflicted with Aphasia, by offering support and care and a place to help them understand more
I can't speak highly enough about them, and they run the place off donations.
I humbly ask that if you can spare any help, please donate whatever you may be able to.'
