I've raised £1000 to purchase a defibrillator for the setting and local neighbourhood

We at Apples & Pears & the Banana Club believe that the health and wellbeing of our children, parents/ carers, staff and visitors is of paramount importance. We are, therefore, on a mission to extend our first aid kit and purchase a life-saving device- a defibrillator. Most of the team here have had the fortunate opportunity to have received training with such equipment & are keen to ensure that, should anyone here, or in the near vicinity, experience a cardiac arrest we could help to save a life.
Anyone of any age , health or gender can suffer Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) which is why taking the necessary precautions against this is vital, especially within such a setting as this.
Fact:
*There is rarely any warning that someone is about to suffer a SCA
*SCA is the most extreme case of emergency, as the patients loses consciousness at once and stops breathing immediately.
*When someone has a cardiac arrest, every minute without defibrillation reduces their chances of survival by 10%.
*Calling 999 and administering immediate treatment with CPR and defibrillator before the Paramedics arrives, gives the victim the best chance of survival, increasing success rates from 6% to over 74%.
We are, therefore, hoping to purchase a defibrillator for the setting and local neighbourhood.
