On the 12th July 2019 I will leaving to go on an expedition to Swaziland, south Africa. This may perhaps be a once in a lifetime opportunity for me as on this expedition I will be digging foundations, laying water piping, supporting local communities, caring for their local orphans and vulnerable children.

I will be going on this trip with school and World Challenge. World Challenge is a company that takes young students on educational expeditions to many countries around the world. During expedition the world challenge leaders allow the challengers to run the trip as much as possible, with the leaders there for safety and guidance. This will then give us the chance to develop our leadership skills, work better as teams and help us be more independent. This expedition will cost £2850. I have recently been employed at Pam’s Beauty Studio in Ilkeston, with the money I’m earning from this job, I will be putting at least half of my wages towards the trip. However, the amount I earn will not cover the full amount for the trip, as I’m aiming to raise £1,500 at least.

In order to raise this amount I will be doing extra jobs, such as:

- Babysitting. I love being with children and have had plenty of practice in looking after them with my 2 younger siblings!

- I have skills and interest in hair and makeup, so for a special night out you may like a stylist and makeup artist - and I would be happy to help you.

- I will be selling items on ebay/car boot sales, so if there is anything you don’t wear or need please consider donating them.
