I've raised £750 to Support Samaritans and Tia Rescue

As you're all aware, I was lucky enough to get a 2025 London Marathon place recently. This will be a dream come true! I've watched it on TV from being a child and always wanted to ‘be one of those athletes.’
Though I am not required to raise money for charity, it feels right to do so and will make it so much more special.
I thought long and hard about my charity and in the end couldn’t choose between 2 causes that are very close to my heart. It’s no secret that running has saved me from some dark places and i still run for my mental health today. It wouldnt feel right to not have a mental health charitiy in there.…
Samaritans is a telephone service run by volunteers to help those in crisis and hopefully prevent suicide. You may have seen me share Samaritans number several times over the years. I called them in 2018 and spoke to a lovely lady who helped me realise the world was a better place with me in it.
Tia Rescue is where our big lad Melvyn found his feet. The reality of greyhound racing is far worse than you can imagine, with horror stories still popping up in the news frequently. Tia work hard to give these dogs a chance at life and a happy retirement, rather than them being overworked, malnourished, mistreated and often killed. Thank you Deb for our boy x
