Story
On Thursday 24th January, at just over 26 weeks my little girl April Rose was born sleeping, she weighed a tiny 2lb. She was so perfect. After she was born Dan and I were able to spend as much time as we liked with April in a lovely little room called The Butterfly Room at The Royal Bolton Hospital. April was moved into a special cot called a cuddle cot
A cuddle cot is a special cot that helps to keep the body cool in order to preserve the body so that parents are allowed more time with their baby to make special memories and to help them grieve. Cuddle cots are limited in hospitals so if one or more babies were born sleeping some parents could lose out on precious moments with their baby. A cuddle cot can also be used if the parents want to take their baby home with them to spend some time alone or to allow family members to visit.
My aim is to raise enough money to purchase a cuddle cot and to donate it in April’s memory.
