Story
Apsley memorial Garden will be officially opened by Mike penning, MP on Sunday 30th October 2016
Volunteers are currently working hard to restore the memorial garden which is dedicated to all the men and women who worked at the paper mill sites and enlisted in both the great wars. These brave men and women sacrificed their lives.
If you aren't able to get along to help but would like to contribute this is your chance!
We currently need to have the monument itself restored but it has to be done by a qualified stonemason as it is "listed".
This crowdfunding page is to raise the money needed to cover that professional service. All other work is being undertaken on a voluntary basis and we thank everyone for their efforts.
