I've raised £3600 to support young people to “Say NO to the Knife” in Coventry & Birmingham, fund Youth Workers to deliver knife crime education in schools.

Help to support young people to not carry a knife through funding a Aptitude Youth Work education programme in schools and communities in Coventry & Birmingham which uses music to reach young people with the message of “Say NO to the knife, it ain’t worth a life.” Using lyric writing and Music and rap workshops to get the message out to young people and give them confidence to stand up and say no to carrying a knife.
The increase of death and serious stabbings in the West Midlands has increased by 160% this year, which is the biggest increase outside of London. Coventry and Birmingham have particulary had fatalities of young people in central areas and social venues and the Aptitude Youth Work progarmme will work with young people to support them to not carry a knife of stop carrying one, this will help to make safer communities.
School and Police funding is limited and being cut annualy and this prevention work with young people will reach to support those who most need help.
