Story

Our fun loving adorable little girl Arabella was diagnosed with AML Leukemia in May 2018 at age 4. Over the past two years she has fought couragiously against this devestating acute form of blood cancer. Her bravery whilst undergoing several rounds of intense chemotherpy and a bone marrow transplant has been nothing short of amazing. All of her treatments have been away from the family home and this has made life extremly difficult for Arabella and her family. Thankfully Arabella got to return back home after several months away in Bristol childrens hospital and Arabella could start to enjoy life once again! But unfortunatley just 6 months post transplant Arabellas cancer returned, and once again our gorgeous little girl has to return to hospital for yet more gruelling chemotherepy treatment. Our world is turned upside down in the quest to find a cure for Arabella and with our only hope being a clinical trial at great Ormand Street we start to prepare Arabella for yet another summer of treatment. Despite an initial good response to chemotherepy at addenbrooks Arabella became weaker and weaker resulting in her being admitted to the intensive care unit.

At this point our biggest fear was confirmed by our consultant ‘“Arabellas cancer is more aggressive than initially thought, the clinical trial is no longer an option” therefore palliative care would commence from this point onwards.

Our main priority now is to make Arabellas future pain free and as fun as possible. We are hoping for enough time and energy to be able to make some precious family memories and have therefore set up this just giving page to enable people to contribute and support Arabella and our family over the coming weeks.
