ARC Foundation has been established in Elashpur, Osmaninagar, Sylhet, Bangladesh, with a vision to create a lasting place of worship, education and care for orphans and the wider community.
Our vision
Our first priority is to establish a dedicated place of prayer for the local community, alongside a place where orphans and vulnerable children can receive Academic and Qur’anic education completely free of charge.
We want to create an environment where a child's financial circumstances do not prevent them from accessing an education, learning about their faith or studying the Qur’an.
This is the first step in a much bigger vision.
As ARC Foundation grows and further funding becomes available, we aim to build dedicated accommodation for orphans, providing children without a stable home with a safe, caring and nurturing environment in which they can live and learn.
Our longer-term ambition is also to establish an orphan sponsorship programme, enabling people to support the education, care and development of individual children. We hope to give these children the opportunity to study and memorise the Qur’an and nurture a generation of custodians of the Qur’an, young people who learn it, preserve it, live by its teachings and carry that knowledge forward to future generations, insha'Allah.
Our journey so far
Alhamdulillah, this is no longer just an aspiration, work has already begun.
We have acquired the land for ARC Foundation in Elashpur and have completed the first major stage of preparing the site.
Significant work was required to level and prepare the land for construction, and approximately £8,000 has already been invested to complete this stage.
With the land now secured and levelled, we are ready to take the next major step.
What will the £20,000 help us achieve?
Our next phase is to begin the groundworks and foundations for the first ARC Foundation building.
This initial building will form the heart of the project: providing a dedicated prayer space for the community and the beginning of a permanent facility where orphans can be educated completely free of charge.
Your donations will help us turn the prepared land into something tangible, laying the foundations upon which, insha'Allah, the wider ARC Foundation vision can continue to grow.
Supporting the wider community
While we work towards our long-term vision, we also want ARC Foundation to make a difference to people facing hardship today.
Alongside the development project, we will support poor and vulnerable families in Elashpur, Osmaninagar and the surrounding communities, including through the distribution of food parcels during Ramadan.
Our aim is for ARC Foundation to serve the community in both the immediate and long term, supporting those in need today while building something that can continue benefiting future generations.
A lasting Sadaqah Jariyah
We hope that contributing towards ARC Foundation will be an opportunity for Sadaqah Jariyah, a charity whose benefit and reward continue long after the initial donation.
From every prayer performed, every child educated, every verse of Qur’an learned and taught, and every person who benefits from the facilities, we pray that those who helped make this project possible will share in the reward.
The land has been acquired. The ground has been prepared. Now, with your help, we can begin to build.

As a lasting mark of gratitude, your name or the name of a loved one will be inscribed on a Founding Members plaque displayed at the front of the building.
