Story
We are raising money to support grieving families through the launch of The Village Project — a trauma-informed support programme created by bereaved parents, for bereaved parents.
This work is deeply personal. ARC was founded in memory of Adonis, a beautiful baby boy who died suddenly in 2023. In the aftermath of that devastating loss, Adonis’s mother searched for support—someone to sit with her, walk with her, simply understand. But there was nothing. No safe space, no long-term support, no community that knew what to do with a grief like hers.
So with a close family friend, they built one.
Adonis Refuge Community (ARC) was born to make sure no one else has to grieve in silence. Now, ARC is ready to launch The Village Project — a year-long programme of therapeutic support groups, peer connection, and joyful family events for parents and siblings grieving the loss of a child.
Your donation will help us:
Run in-person support groups led by trained professionals and peer facilitators
Host free family fun days to bring joy and connection back into grieving homes
Offer virtual peer support for those who can’t attend in person
Provide nature-based healing spaces, coffee mornings, and workshops designed by the community
Together, we can honour Adonis’s memory by building something life-saving for others.
