Story
I am asking your help for my friend Bishop Hannington Mutebi, assistant Bishop of Kampala Diocese, Uganda. Bishop Hannington has been diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia, for which he needs urgent chemotherapy and bone marrow transplant treatment.
Following fantastic generosity from a number of individuals, family and friends, Bishop Hannington has been allowed by the hospital to commence treatment. We now need to raise £45,000 to meet the remainder of the £190,000 bill for treatment at Kings College Hospital here in London – no such treatment is available in East Africa. Can we in the UK and round the world raise the rest in the next few days? This means getting as many people as possible to give in this very short time. Every gift will make a difference. I ask you to join me in doing what we can to help.
Money will be sent directly to Kings College Hospital to pay the medical bill. Any unspent money will go to Cancer Research UK.
