Story

Myself and Alexis have decided to take part in this years Pedal for Scotland,

Cycling 50miles from Glasgow to Edinburgh on 8th September 2019.

It was a tough year last year; seeing my dad’s illness take hold with him finally losing his battle to cancer in November 2018.

Life has not quite been the same and i guess won’t be again, which is why I’ve decided to set myself a goal, a challenge, to not only help me move forward but show my appreciation to those that helped dad when we couldn’t.

I’m thankful that I got to spend time with him at the end and the hospice, Jalmari, where he stayed was so supportive with everything.

The Jalmari hospice let me, my brother, sister, dads friends and even dads dog! spend nights in his room by his side, providing mattresses and bedding for us to sleep on. They had a family room where you could spend time reading, eating or just to take a minute out to help you process whats happening with your loved one. They even have a laptop and tablet for the family to use whilst there, books to read / listen to and many other things that were simple but felt like the world.

All of those things are only available due to the donations from the public, which brings us to this….

As the Jalmari hospice was so supportive to my dad and our family we would like to show our appreciation by raising money for them, so that families in similar situations can be supported like we were.

So in return for Myself and Alexis Cycling roughly 50miles in the one day - we would be grateful for any donations you could afford to give, to help us show our appreciation.

Thank you x
