I've raised £15000 to Help fund an Arctic science summit to take our knowledge of Arctic change to world leaders, and present an urgent call to action.

What happens in the Arctic doesn't stay in the Arctic.
Arctic change is at a critical juncture; hard choices need to be made. These informed decisions must be evidence-based and not ideologically driven. Politicians and policy-makers, as well as industry leaders and the public, need to have the most up-to-date and robust science available on Arctic change.
The Arctic is speaking
Scientific evidence on Arctic change is unequivocal and it is sending us a warning cry that has profound consequences and global risks. Yet the risks from Arctic change remain invisible to the world’s most powerful decision-makers. We want to change that.
Here’s what we’re doing about it:
In January 2017, at the World Economic Forum in Davos, we set up a basecamp, and an Arctic Science Summit, to get the attention of the world's most influential leaders. You can read our blog here on the World Economic Forum's website. We reached 5,000 people with our livestream of the event and nearly 1 Million with #ArcticMatters. The Arctic Basecamp at Davos meeting had three key objectives:
- Present our state-of-the-art research showing the dramatic changes occurring in the Arctic.
- Explain how these changes impact Arctic and non-Arctic countries alike.
- Outline the global economic risks related to Arctic change; and to present a call to action to world leaders and top decision-makers at Davos.
But, our job isn't done.
On a shoestring budget we managed to pull together something successful, but we want to do it again, and make an even bigger impact.
You can join us.
We need to raise £15,000 to take our message of global risk to the influential audience at Davos in January 2018.
We will use the money to pay travel costs, venue costs, tents for camping in extreme sub-zero temperatures, and cameras and communications equipment to record the event and spread our message across the world.
Will you help us?
