Story
We are a remote rural community on the West Coast in the Highlands and shinty brings the community together, gives our children the opportunity to develop skills, be part of a team and enjoy social opportunities which they would otherwise not have.
We have a successful and ever improving ladies team, a ladies development team, U17 team is being reinstated, an under 14's team and 2 Primary School teams plus many more turning up for weekly, year round training. There are 32 registered female players plus 11 additional U14 boys and up to 60 Primary pupils train every week.
Our coaches are local enthusiasts who give a huge amount of their time and efforts voluntarily.
Our remote location means transport is an essential part of accessing competition for our teams as we need to travel throughout Scotland.
Parents are supportive but with growing numbers a minibus is becoming more and more essential to enable our teams to enter competitions.
We would also be able to make the bus available for hire to the local schools which would help cover ongoing running costs.
We are grateful to the following local businesses for sponsoring in the past... Loch Shiel Hotel, Strontian Stores, FAI Ardtoe, Inn at Ardgour, Salen Hotel and Andy Bradley, as well as some anonymous donations from parents and wider family members.
Please support us if you are able.
We will be fundraising and adding to this fund ourselves...
Thank you in advance for any contributions.

What is crowdfunding?
Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.
