Story
WE'RE GOING TO PRIDE!
We will be attending London Pride parade this year on the bus! We will be recreating a Pride from the past with our friends at Queerseum.
We will also be attending Black Pride, Trans Pride, Manchester Pride & other grassroots events over Pride season.
We will be taking as many people as possible who would usually feel excluded - our shelter guests, homeless friends & those seeking asylum.
When hidden homeless, fleeing violence and homophobic laws, our community often feels excluded from community events; not just financially but for fear of their safety. Furthermore, those seeking asylum are often left for years at a time unable to legally work & with £35 per week in vouchers to live on & feel excluded for fear of cultural & racial discrimination.
Please support us & African Rainbow Family to cover these costs & make this the best pride for those usually left outside!
Any surplus funding received throughout summer will be split between The Outside Project & African Rainbow Family to support access to community events.

6 years agoThankyou to Laura, John & Olympia for supporting our fundraiser! LGBTIQ+ people seeking asylum are often flung to further regions - £50 will support them to attend London Pride, Black Pride or Manchester Pride. £10 supports local travel for those who are homeless or staying in crisis shelters. Every £ & share helps! #HomelessLGBTIQsolidarity #LGBTIQequality #SupportGrassrootsProjects

I want to feel a proper sense of Pride. Uplifting and centering those often left out or hidden behind corporate rainbows standing on the margins and sides. In solidarity we can be at Pride together.
