Next summer I’m going to Madagascar with my school where we will be volunteering at a local secondary school, helping to teach the students.

Poverty is rife in many parts of the country and unfortunately many children are unable to afford an education. However, with your money, we hope to build another classroom in order to accommodate more students, drastically changing the lives of these children by providing them with an opportunity to go to school which they otherwise would not have had. Furthermore, we also hope to raise enough money to buy essential supplies and teaching materials which we can use to teach the children during our two-week long volunteering trip! Therefore, over the course of the next few months, I hope to raise a grand total of £1500 in donations.

I'm planning to raise £1000 by running the equivalent of the width of Madagascar (443.63 km from Morondava southeast to Manakara) during the forthcoming evenings and weekends, and would be immensely grateful for any sponsorship, no matter the amount!
