Story

Catering Services John "Baby" Ratumaibau joined the Royal Navy in 2019 as a Chef and has worked tirelessly to support the British Armed Forces, in the hope of building a better life for his family in the UK. Having contributed recently to Operations on HMS RICHMOND, he was taking some well earnt time at home in Fiji when he tragically and suddenly lost his beautiful 23 year old wife Arieta Ratumaibau, a hugely loved and respected school teacher.

Baby has worked relentlessly over the years we have known him to please others and never been found complaining, despite the many pressures of service life and the extremely long distance forced between him and his soul mate. Having left HMS RICHMOND to join CTCRM he was in the final stages of planning for Arieta to move over and to start there new life together.

To support the monetary weight of such a tragedy, Myself and POCS Andrew "Woody" Woodley will be cycling continuously for 24 hours on a turbo trainer from the Hangar/Flight Deck of HMS RICHMOND starting at 0900 25/03/2023 and finishing at 0900 26/03/2023.

Please help us support our good friend and his family at this incredibly difficulty time.
