I'm raising £3,500 to get the essential wheelchair so I can get my life back

I am almost completely house bound. I have recently been diagnosed with functional neurological disorder. This causes seizures, tremors, limb weakness and my newest symptom paralysis. I can go hours without being able to use or move my legs at all I also suffer from extreme weakness in my legs causing them to collapse under me and I am forced to use a wheelchair to get around.

I have been loaned a standard wheelchair from the British red cross and I am on waiting lists for NHS wheelchair services which will most likely not provide the wheelchair best suited for my needs. This is why I need to try and source a better wheelchair that can fit my needs before my standard chair makes my condition worse.

I am also hypermobile with probable hypermobile ehlers danlos syndrome which means I have frequent subluxations and dislocations that also affects what wheelchair I need. My wheelchair causes my thumb joints to dislocate and extreme pain to the point I cannot move them, my shoulders subluxate and also become extremely sore from pushing myself in my heavy standard chair. All of this contributes to me being almost completely house bound as I am not able to go out with friends and I am barley dealing with education or even essential medical appointments.

I need this new wheelchair to access life again and stop the stress and anxiety it gives me and my family members who care for me when I just need to leave the house. This essential wheelchair I need is not cheap and we cannot afford it alone I ask you to please donate anything you can to help me get my life back and let me be a normal teenager. Thank you.
