#Armchairadventures is a creative response to address social isolation caused by COVID-19 restrictions for vulnerable adults

Loneliness and social isolation is a terrible burden to bare.

Older and vulnerable people will be most effected by this sacrifice, as we all strive to keep ourselves and our communities safe. Made By Mortals will do everything we can to raise spirits and help people stay connected. To do this, we will be engaging people from the confines of their own homes - letting them know they’re not alone.

The money raised will allow us to deliver regular participatory music and drama workshops with vulnerable people using radio, telephone, podcast and video messaging. Each group of participants will benefit from a weekly workshop specifically designed for their needs and abilities. Every effort will be made to ensure that the workshops have a ‘live’ feel and are interactive for the participants. We feel this is vital in helping people to feel less alone.

People will sing from their balconies, dance on their patios, and share stories with each other that set imaginations wild and free!

This accessible service will help to keep people connected, creative and engaged in activities that can improve low mood, enhance skills and support health and wellbeing during these difficult times.

We need your help to fund the equipment and staff required to beam fun and creativity into people’s homes.

As a not-for-profit social enterprise, 100% of the money we receive for #ArmchairAdventures will go directly to delivering this project. Made By Mortals board contains people from health, voluntary and arts sectors and will continue to meet (virtually) and oversee the deliver of #ArmchairAdventures throughout this isolation period.

Your donations will enable ‘Armchair Adventures’ to be delivered throughout the 12 week isolation period and contribute towards:

- Providing radio/wifi equipment for participants who need it

- Distributing information to participants of how they can get involved

- Freelance artists to deliver the workshops

- Collaborating with health and social care providers to ensure participants are accessing all the services they need
