Help Us Hike for a Cause – One Step at a Time!

Hi friends,

I’m about to take on my very first hiking adventure, and it’s not just about the mountains—it’s about making a meaningful difference.

My husband Anirban and I are raising funds for two causes close to our hearts:

1. EssexIndians Charity – supporting cultural programme , cultural awareness and development for Generation Next, helping young minds stay connected to their roots while growing in a multicultural world.

2. Saroj Gupta Memorial Cancer Hospital, Kolkata – a beacon of hope for countless cancer patients, offering affordable and compassionate care in India.I have seen my dear ones to suffer and lost my mother and mother in law both due to this disease.

3. Inspiring Indian Women - An organising working relentlessly for women empowerment

To mark this special journey, I’ll be tackling not one, but three major hikes:

• Snowdonia on Good Friday, 19th April, just ahead of my 55th birthday

• Scafell Pike on 21st June

• Ben Nevis – Date TBD

Anirban hiked Snowdonia solo last year and inspired me to take this on. Today, I tested my shoes and hiking stick on the Seven Sisters cliffs—a first step, but a proud one!

We are not seasoned hikers—this is all new for me. But we’re putting heart and soul into every step to raise funds and awareness for these meaningful causes.
