Weʼve raised £1,340 to raise funds for Dogs on the Streets - via our raffle where you could win a bespoke portrait of your beloved pet

Funded on Wednesday, 9th August 2017

    Story

This is Ty. He lives on the streets with his homeless human companion. Luckily he is one of many who benefit from Dogs on the Streets (DOTS), a pop-up service that offers rough sleepers the chance to give their beloved pets free veterinary check-ups, food, training advice and grooming one day a week. From worming and microchipping to major surgery; DOTS is proving essential to the dogs and their homeless owners but it needs funds.

I want to raise money to help this very important service so I’m giving away a bespoke pet portrait (worth £500) to a lucky winner. All you need to do is donate to this page to enter my online raffle. Tickets are £5 each, so please donate in multiples of £5 if you want to buy more than one ticket. All the money raised will go to DOTS.

Once your donation has gone through, please tick the box alongside “I'm happy to be contacted by Sara Abbott". Justgiving can then share your contact details with me AS I WILL NEED YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS TO CONTACT YOU IF YOU WIN :-)

Full details on how the raffle is being run are outlined below in the messages of support section added by me. And don’t forget to visit www.dotslondon.co.uk for more about this ground-breaking work.

The doggies, DOTS and I thank you for your support,

Love Sara Abbott, fundraising for Dogs on the Streets

Only three days to go!! As these things are wont to do we've slowed down a bit but I'm hoping for a last minuet rush on ticket sales - each £5 donated means a chance to win an oil on canvas portrait of YOUR DOG worth £490 and every penny goes to help dogs living on the streets. A million thanks if you've donated already, but I want to ask if you'd do one last share with me to see if we can push ourselves nearer our £2k target. Good luck everyone and thank you - can't wait to get in touch with the winner in a few days time! Sara xxx

In support of our fund raising for DOTS we had an event at The Berkeley in Berkhamsted last week, a separate raffle raised another £360 for our cause and we met a wonderful bunch of new friends wanting to join in and help. A very big thank you must go to Marc Abraham who joined us despite having two flat tires en route - he really will go all out to help animals in need! We've 17 days still to run with this Just Giving page - do keep sharing our posts if you can and good luck if you already have a ticket, Sara x

I knew when I met Michelle and saw the work she was doing that I must help her - and from the amazing response we've had from our supporters it's clear that you do too! So this morning I have doubled our target to £2000 - we've 23 days left - we can do this. Whilst I was on the DOTS stand I borrowed some chalks for pavement drawing and did my best, I need more practice at this! The winner of this on line raffle will have a 60 x 60cm oil on canvas portrait of THEIR dog - something I'm a bit more practiced at see www.sara-abbott.com for more x
