£110raised of £200 target by 11 supporters

Weʼve raised £110 to sponsor an art show for kids taking part in the Pink Fringe

Funded on Tuesday, 4th September 2018

    What is crowdfunding?

Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.

The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.

The Pink Fringe is an annual weekend of music, theatre, dance and art shows put on by the Goldstar Federation. Around 500 children - from nursery to year 6 - perform over the weekend, including a performance by children who have special needs.

It's a really important part of the children’s year, giving them a chance to perform that they otherwise don't have. Their schools are in a deprived part of London, so for many this is their only opportunity to perform in - or even visit - a theatre. The weekend involves many members of the local community, too.

Excitingly, the Pink Fringe weekend is almost here (scheduled at the end of June). But there's a problem: education budgets have got smaller, and the Goldstar Federation is struggling to find money to fund it. As someone who loves the arts - for so many reasons! - this breaks my heart.

We need your help to get this show off the ground!!!

There are lots of different shows to sponsor, but I thought we could club together to fund one of their art shows. I've asked ten people, so if we each put in a tenner, then we'll soon have £100 for the show...

In return, we have an invitation to attend the Pink Fringe launch and all the performances. Get in touch if you're interested and would like more details on this.
