Help Us Break the Silence Around Male Mental Health
Is it just me… or do other men also feel like they were never taught how to express their emotions?
That question was the seed of Fragile Strength—a year-long, research-based community art project based in the UK and India that gives voice to the unspoken mental health struggles of South Asian, trans, and gay men.
Through art exhibitions, storytelling sessions, creative workshops, and academic research, we’re creating safe spaces where vulnerability is not only welcomed but celebrated.
We’ve already come so far. Thanks to the support of our incredible partners and communities in India and the UK, we’ve launched exhibitions at Alliance Française and Instituto Cervantes in Delhi, and are now at The Minories Art Gallery in Colchester. We are offering workshops, open mic events, and are working with the University of Essex to collect data that can lead to real change.
But to keep going, we need your help. We’re raising £1,500 to help cover the final costs of this journey:
- Hosting more mental health-focused community events in Colchester
- Providing safe spaces for men to speak and be heard
This is not just about art—it’s about healing, representation, and creating a world where more men can say, “I’m not okay” without shame. If you believe in mental health for all, if you’ve ever wanted to support a project that truly uplifts unheard voices, then please donate.
No amount is too small. Every pound helps us continue this important conversation and reach more people who need to know they’re not alone.
The amount will go towards delivering more free public events, paying our dedicated staff, purchasing workshop materials, and ensuring this vital project continues to grow and reach more people.
Thank you for standing with us. Together, we can turn fragility into strength.
