Story
Arts, culture and heritage organisations saw income dry up almost overnight due to the impact of Coronavirus. AMA is a sector support organisation, working to help the people in those organisations responsible for communicating with and engaging audiences. With organisations closed, the people we support have been pushed into a position of keeping things going using the digital tools at their disposal. We're doing our best to support them - that's what we're here for - and as there's no money available to fund their training, we're delivering as much as we can for free.
We began with free webinars on Crisis Communications Planning, Wellbeing for you and your Team, Social Media - Content and Comms in Challenging Times, and Connecting with your Audiences in Tough Times, and each sold out within a couple of hours. People want and need this training, so we're making all our webinars free to anyone over April and May 2020. Where possible, and we have consent from our external trainers to do so, we are making recordings of the webinars available too.
These are hard times for all of us, but we want to do whatever we can to help get us all through this as best we can. We are, however, a business, and keeping things running during this time is as hard for us as it is for all of you. We're not charging for our webinars, but if you are able to make a contribution, however small, it would be greatly appreciated. We understand that everyone is going through their own difficulties, and this may be an impossible ask of you right now, but we hope that if enough people can contribute whatever they can afford, AMA can keep providing free training for as long as possible.
