We are looking to raise money to host a community event that would offer free pottery painting for children at Christmas throughout our community in the Southside of Glasgow. As a CIC we are always striving to make our classes and offerings affordable as possible and would like to give back to our community through this event at Christmas time. But we do need support to run this event and this is where your help is crucial.

At Art Space G41 we have an open door policy and through community surveys and speaking with those who have entered our doors for our free, funded Post Natal Pottery classes we know there needs to be more free and accessible arts and crafts experiences for families within the city.

At Art Space G41, we regularly connect with people in the local area and wider community, and carry out community consultation using surveys, casual communication, social media, and action research. Our studio is open to the public, and we frequently have visitors that are welcomed to share their thoughts, values, and opinions. We know there is a tangible need and desire to harness the power of the arts to combat lethal socio-economic issues such as hunger, loneliness and isolation, and poor mental health in our immediate locality, and across the city.

This event will help families connect, will provide each child with a gift at Christmas time and will also provide some entertainment for children to keep them engaged round their crafts

Our most recent community evaluation survey stated that 100% want to spend more time being creative. Participants shared that the best thing about the studio was connecting with other people, and the benefit they experienced to their wellbeing.
