Thanks for taking the time to visit The Arukah Project JustGiving page.
We are raising money for a 12-month project working in partnership with Living Consciously.
Living Consciously is a dedicated nonprofit organization committed to advancing emotional and mental health for communities in India. Our project is titled 'Bhavasetu' meaning 'Bridge of Emotions' and we aim to support young girls who are in the care system many of whom are survivors of CSA.
Living Consciously Foundation was established in 2019 by Shalu. It grew out of her MPhil research on understanding the psychosocial vulnerabilities of children in need of care and protection in red-light areas in India, and her previous research work with children in conflict with law. The organisation focuses on providing crucial tools for emotional well-being and nervous system regulation in vulnerable young individuals with traumatic histories.
The Arukah Project is a UK-based not-for-profit that aims to support vulnerable people to make a positive difference in their lives and break free from cycles of incarceration and addiction. We do this by helping them to manage their emotional responses to challenging situations (www.arukah.co.uk).
Together we aim to help many girls and young women, heal from their painful pasts and move forward into a happier future.
