Story
I’m aiming to complete a 1/2 marathon on the Isles of Scilly to raise money for the Trinity school Malawi Project.
The run is coined the ‘Tide Race’, and the route starts on Tresco island, lapping around before crossing over to Bryher island at low tide. Then, a lap of Bryher is completed to race back to Tresco before the tide comes in and covers the sand bar to return (hence the name Tide Race). This crossing of islands is an event that only occurs a few times a year when the tide reaches a low enough point, and will likely include a lot of wet feet and wading across!
The Trinity Malawi Project is a project aiming to help and support Chipwepwete Primary School, through funding school dinners and developing and building infrastructures such as school classrooms. There will also be a trip in 2025 to go out to Malawi to help directly, teaching students, restoring and repairing and building.
