Hi, my name’s Ash Lilian-Burton. I’m a 35-year-old trans woman reaching out for support with my most essential gender-affirming care costs.

I had hoped to cover these expenses on my own without needing to fundraise, however with the way things are going in this country given the recent supreme court ruling and rise of fascism, I worry that access to trans healthcare will only become more limited and more expensive, and so have to accept that I need help from the community and those still willing to support us.

My total desired care costs will easily exceed the target listed here, however this fundraiser is only for the most essential expenses that I cannot continue to delay. These include: continuation of HRT (as NHS waiting lists are over 4 years currently and expected to continue increasing); FUE hair transplant and continuing hair loss medication treatment; continuing facial hair electrolysis payments; costs incurred from changing of legal documents such as passport, driving license, etc. Other desired care (such as FFS) has not been included as it is not considered essential enough. Any contribution towards these, no matter the amount, is greatly appreciated.
