Story

It’s that time again!!! My second voluntary trip to Mumbai to give back with your help and support. As most of you know I am in the process of setting up my own charity but due to unforeseen circumstances this won’t be launched until next year. However I was not going to let this stop me from my next trip. I can’t believe it’s a year since I last went to Mumbai and volunteered with a variety of organisations and gained so much from meeting such amazing children and adults. I thought I was going to give back but I left Mumbai a far richer person with unconditional love, bonds and relationships that have given me the courage too go back and set up my own charity.

So, what have your donations done so far:

*Clothing donations for girls and babies

*Educational materials for under privileged children.

*A Christmas party at Happy Feet Home, a hospice for terminally ill children. Toy’s and stationary donations were distributed here.

*Donations to Kranti a charity that give shelter and support to daughters of sex workers who are wanting to better their life. They provide education, food, therapy and much more to girls that have been victim too mental, physical and sexual abuse.

*Donations to MOST a charity in Lucknow that educates under privileged children from a space at thier family home dedicated to these children. Classes are run on a daily basis by the family and Volunteers from the local area. Your donations have built a wall and floor so that in the rainy seasons classes do not have to stop. MOST were able to purchase 3 basic computers that the children are learning how to operate. This now allows MOST to educate children all year around. This year by Gods grace I will be visiting MOST and volunteering and meeting all the children I have so far engaged with via Skype.

*Donations also allowed me to buy essentials tolietries and food for street children and other organisations I met along the way eg Cancer hospital charity that provide food to the poor outside a government hospital. Every penny counted and made a huge difference to life’s.

My role was to deliver workshops, one to one coaching, self esteem sessions, support with emotional wellbeing, day to day support for young people, basic maths and English education. I also went into government schools/hospitals, Orphanages and a high risk prison to deliver workshops. My experience was life changing and I can’t wait to go back and meet the next generation of young people that are going to change my life as believe me they give me far more then I give them. Donations were also collected throughout the year as I co-partnered with MOST for Kavya a 15 year old girl who was fighting for a bone marrow match, unfortunately we couldn’t save her but in her name we will continue to support families less fortunate.

All this was not possible without your support and donations. A 100% of your donations go to the charities I work with, God has been good to me so I fund all my travel, materials and workshop costs and this is not taken from any of your donations.

We smashed the goal last time and went way over the target I had set, so please help me to help others.

A dear friend Sneha approached me and appreciated the work I am doing so, she asked how she could contribute. She has decided to be creative and fund raise by taking part in a fun run, so please donate to support her and her initiative.

If anyone else would like to raise money in their own way please get in touch with me and get cooking, baking, running, jumping, whatever it takes.

I am eternally grateful and thank you on behalf of all the life’s you have changed and are changing!

Please share with all your friends and family
