Story
In February this year, Ashlea was diagnosed with an aggressive form of bone cancer called Osteosarcoma in her pelvis which has also spread into her lungs. Ashlea’s treatment plan consists of a high intensity chemotherapy across a number of months before she undergoes an operation to remove part of her pelvic bone and then more chemotherapy. Each round of chemo means a number of days as an inpatient at hospital whilst her operation will take place in Oxford where she will be in hospital for around a month afterwards. Ashlea is remaining positive & plans to tackle her illness head on so she can get well as soon as possible and return to normal family life with her Husband Joe and 20 month old daughter Riley.
We intend to send Ashlea Joe and Riley to Longleat Center Parcs for a week of respite between treatments, where they will have the full support of the Center Parcs staff and the local Macmillan nurses.
