I've raised £500 to help Papyrus, prevention of young suicide, in educating the community on how to identify and respond to suicidal behaviour

As part of my mental health campaign #TalkDifferentListenDifferentMakeADifference I have chosen to raise money for Papyrus, a charity that helps prevent suicide in young people @papyrus_uk . We are all blessed to be young in our lives, those years between the age of 12-19 being the prime! Every young person deserves to be well during that period, as it’s the one period where they must make the most of their life!!! They should be free-spirited teens. It’s a time to learn, make friends, make mistakes, have dreams, build character and to make memories with the people they love!
They should not have to experience self-esteem issues, depression, anxiety, suicidal thoughts or even attempt suicide... unfortunately there are many that are suffering from mental illnesses and some have even lost their battle. Many young lives are lost to suicide, it is the largest killer among young people here in the UK. Over 200 school children are lost to suicide every year. We as a society need to start talking about suicide so we can help save lives! Every child deserves those beautiful years, so why are we not creating an environment that allows the youth to open up? Why are we not trying to eliminate this stigma around suicide? Why are we not helping to prevent young people from taking their own life?
I will be hosting a few charity events over the next few weeks in which all the proceeds will be going to Papyrus. (Please check out my instagram where I post all my work with mental health- https://www.instagram.com/ashxii_/ )These donations will help Papyrus to reduce the number of teenage suicides and equip our communities with the resources and education to identify and respond to suicidal behaviour.
All your support and donations will help us to tackle the largest killer in young people. In turn, this will provide a better future the modern generation and generations to come
