Assalam u alaikum.

Alhamdulillah we have plenty of choices which mosque we read our salah in, even though we make only 2.5% of total UK Muslum population.

My family visited Ghana last year for some community based projects during which we came to know of this particular town which has a Muslim population of about 25% but has now outgrown its basic simple mosque which needs to be rebuilt to provide a much larger prayer area as well as 5 classrooms for the teaching of islam to the local children as well as the wider community.

Alhamdulillah we have pledged to rebuild the mosque, wudu area and toilet facilities in the area. This community mosque will also allow for weekend Islamic lessons for the local children.

We are working with a charity called, Thrive Africa Organisation (charity registered in Ghana No. D.S.W. 5822)

Uthman ibn Affan reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Whoever builds a mosque for Allah, then Allah will build for him a house like it in Paradise.”
