Story

I am a medical student at Imperial College London with a huge interest in bioengineering. Specifically I have interests in creating neuroprosthetics for disabled children who suffer from either trauma or congenital defects. As such I would like to do a masters in bioengineering from John's Hopkins university after my medical degree.

I want to establish centres in third world countries that allows me to create prosthetic limbs for disadvantaged children. Having been to third world countries, I have seen first hand the impact that loss of limbs can have. Not only do children find it difficult to support themselves, there is often an added stigma attached to the disability. With the prosthetics, I want to give these children the chance to live as close to a normal life as possible whilst taking some of the burden of their families as well.

The degree will allow me to gain knowledge and experience from experts in the field and allow me to be able to better understand the challenges before me.

I would really appreciate any support! Thanks so much for your time!
