Like so many girls in rural villages across Pakistan, the girls in the village of Chiragh Abad face a bleak future as they have no means to travel many miles to the nearest Government School.
They suffer hardships due to poor transport, fear of being abused, and very hard line militant groups who believe that girls should not be educated.
These helpless girls want to overcome their difficulties and they have appealed for help from the global community.
I have been approached by Professor Saleem Rana who has operated a free Pharmacy in the village for over ten years, and the girls have begged him to help them get a quality education by building a school in their village.
Professor Rana is willing to donate 3 acres of land in the village, if we can raise funds to build a school on it.

The compassionate nature of Professor Rana came about after he lost his only son, who was a pilot in PAF, and his plane crashed just months after he had got engaged to his childhood sweet heart.

The tragic loss and anguish has not abated, but he found solace in helping the village with free medicines and primary care.

We hope we can build and run the school for the benefit of the village girls, some of whom can have very bright futures, if they got a chance to shine.
I am a Physicist and a Science teacher, and I will personally oversee the development of the school, and undertake to set the curriculum to British Education standards, so that the girls graduating from the school, will be able to extend their education in British universities, many of whom dream of becoming Doctors, Dentists and Pharmacists.

We need to raise at least £50,000 for the build of ten classrooms, with a gym, science lab and an ICT suite.

The school will be built with great deal of thought given to the security and safety of the girls, as we need to eradicate false beliefs and bad practice in rural villages.
